Arklow Golf Club was formed in 1927. Since the very beginning, the Club has extended a warm and inviting welcome to all of its visitors from at home and from overseas.

This traditional links was formed by Hawtree & Taylor in 1927 and has evolved with the aid of inputs from Eddie Hackett and in recent times Eddie Connaughton. The links is a regular award winning golf course has been described as a hidden jewel and the Southern Region of the Irish PGA held their 2001 and 2002 Championships on this links.
At Arklow Golf Links, we aim to provide the visitor with a day to remember on a traditional links golf course. The experience can begin with a hearty breakfast or something lighter overlooking the tranquil and panoramic view of this superb golf links with its meandering fairways and rugged sand dunes set against a backdrop of the Irish Sea.

Clubhouse
There is a terrific social aspect to our clubhouse and it's a hive of activity especially at the weekend. We pride ourselves on the welcome we give visitors to the Golf Club. Visitors love to relax and have a drink or their meal in our bay window which overlooks the links and Irish Sea. The view is unforgettable. For members and visitors alike we regularly have music, fashion nights, quizzes and party nights.
Bar & Restaurant
Relax after your round in the bar where visitors and members mingle to discuss their rounds over a sociable drink or a tasty meal from our bar menu. Tea, coffee and small snacks are also available. Keep an eye out for specials that we run for members and visitors.
You will find our staff professional, friendly and customer satisfaction is of the highest importance to us at Arklow.
If you’re looking for something more substantial why not try our signature dishes in the restaurant. We can cater for up to 100 people and if you book in advance, you can be assured of a table that overlooks the back 9 holes of the golf links.

Things to do in Arklow & South Wicklow
It’s not all about getting under par there are many other activities for visitors to do in between rounds on the links. We have some of the finest beaches in Europe. You can walk the boardwalk by the North beach, there’s Wind Surfing at Brittas Bay or Clogga Bay and Sailing from Arklow Marina or if the sea doesn’t float your boat why not take make a splash in the Arklow Pool and Leisure Centre with Childrens Playground and even an Outdoor Gym for the summer.
If you prefer looking into the past then out at sea we have the Maritime museum, Greenane Maze and Farm Museum and a new Pottery Museum Planned for next year. We have too many Walking Trails and Hill Walking trails to mention but we must mention the Horse Riding, Cycling, Fishing and Bird Watching ( you must watch for the Red Kites ). Shopping is a unique experience with the famous Avoca Handweavers , Ireland's oldest weaving mill (est 1723) and now and the kids will love Clara Lara Fun Park. If you don’t see anything to suit your tastes you’re more then welcome to stay and play golf all day but you’ll still need accommodation and interesting places to eat which we’ve listed below.
